Marissa grew up in farm country in Tulare County, California, spent 20 years in public accounting, and ended up in Oklahoma City after deciding Wymer Brownlee seemed like the right fit. She was correct, and the rest is history.
As a California State Fresno grad, what she loves about tax work is the same thing that keeps it interesting after two decades: there's a system to it, but it’s still different every time. She's been in OKC since 2025, attends Life Church, and has already found her favorite activity: walking around Lake Hefner with her dog Oso and grabbing a bite at Louie's on the Lake.
Fun fact about Marissa: she used to own horse property in Texas where she bred miniature horses, which is exactly as adorable as it sounds.
